Job 18-31

There is another go around with Bildad.  Bildad tells him again to stop complaining and repent.  Job comes back and again asks Bildad to stop "tormenting" him.  He explains to Bildad that he has lost everything but he still has his eye on the Lord.

19:25, 27  I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.  I myself will see him with my own eyes-I, and not another.  How my heart yearns within me!

He also tells Bildad that he should be concerned with his salvation.

Another friend, Zophar can't stand it anymore and jumps in to tell Job that he is being punished for his evil and wicked ways.

Job jumps back in and tells Zophar that this is not a repayment for wickedness.  Wicked peopled live undisturbed lives all of the time.  They have healthy children, healthy livestock and live prosperous lives.  They die and are buried peacefully.  They may never be plagued with a disease or suffering.  The suffering that he's experiencing is not a repayment for evil ways.  Job calls their words nonsense.

OH MY....THIS DRAMA KEEPS GOING ON AND ON....

Okay, Now in Ch. 22 Eliphaz jumps back in.  He tells Job that he is not benefit to God in this state.  He also tells him that all of this suffering is b/c of his greed.  From what I have read, all of his accusations are groundless.  He was just making stuff up to rationalize this pain.  (Little did he know that the devil was causing the pain and NOT GOD!)

Job responds with confidence that he is willing to stand in judgement of God b/c he knows he will righteous.  He then tells of all of the wickedness done to the innocent and those that are wicked don't suffer the way he has suffered.  He in the end says that they may prosper on Earth, but will not beyond the grave.

Ch 25 was Bildad talking again.  It did not make a lot of sense to me.  It is Bildad's last speech and I think he just talked b/c he wanted to feel on top of the issue.

Job then makes a long speech first telling Bildad that he and his friends have not helped him.  He later defends his actions and tells his friends that he is righteous.  He has used his gifts and treasures in a way that would be pleasing to God. He admits to missing his life and his dream that he had for his future and final resting.....  He pleads for God to see him.
