After the completion of the temple the arc was brought in. Solomon stood before the Altar of the Lord in front of Israel, raised his hands to heaven and said an amazing prayer of dedication.
It's worth reading!! Solomon's wisdom is evident in this prayer. (8:22-53) Reading it reminded me of "Jesus-like" behavior. There were many good things in this prayer, but one that I especially liked was (8:39) Forgive and act, deal with each man according to all he does, since you know his heart (for you alone know the hearts of all men, so that they will fear you all the time they live in the land you gave our fathers.
